FARGO — Officers from the Fargo Police Department were called to a car parked on the railroad tracks near the Amtrak station at 420 4th St. N. at 11:48 p.m. Saturday, March 7, according to a statement on the police department's Facebook page.
Upon arrival, the officers saw the vehicle was occupied by two men: Ahmed Baalul Hussein, 23, of Fargo, and an adult male passenger.
Hussein refused to exit the vehicle and was uncooperative with police.
Officers were able to remove the two men from the vehicle as a Burlington Northern train approached. Soon after, Hussein's vehicle was hit by the train and pushed about 100 feet.
During the investigation, Hussein was arrested on suspicion driving under the influence and DUI refusal. He was also cited for possession of marijuana.
