FARGO — Several people were in custody Monday, Nov. 30, after an assault involving a bat and ax left one injured in Fargo.

Valeen Blueshield, 29; Juan Flores, 67; Tylando Laroque, 41, and Cynthia Butcher, 40, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault Monday afternoon after Fargo police responded to 809 10th St. S. for a report of a disturbance.

People reported a man was assaulted by several suspects, according to a news release. The unidentified man was found bleeding profusely, police said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police determined Blueshield struck the now-injured man with an ax, according to the release. In total, four people were involved in holding the man down and assaulting him, according to the release.

The victim's eye was severely damaged to the point where doctors expected she would lose it, according to court documents. No other suspects were arrested in the case.
