Death of 4-year-old girl investigated

LITCHFIELD, Minn. - Authorities are investigating the death of a 4-year-old child Wednesday afternoon in Watkins.
According to a news release from Meeker County Sheriff Jeff Norlin, authorities received a 911 call about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday that Anca Altenburg had found her daughter, Brianna Altenburg, wedged between her bed and the wall.
The mother reported that her daughter had gone to her upstairs bedroom to play and when she went to check on the girl, about 20 minutes later, she found her unresponsive.
The girl was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital. Hospital personnel tried to revive the child but were unsuccessful.
Watkins is about 25 miles southwest of St. Cloud.
