BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Bismarck police are investigating the death of an 83-year-old woman as a homicide.
Authorities say the woman's niece found her body in the woman's home Tuesday afternoon and alerted police. Deputy Police Chief Don Donlin said the woman was found in a bedroom and had "obvious trauma to the body" but no gunshot wounds. He says authorities are pursuing "numerous leads."
The victim's vehicle is missing and believed stolen. The vehicle is a silver 2012 Honda CR-V with North Dakota license plates. The plate numbers are 7008A.
Police did not immediately identify the woman. They said an autopsy was planned Wednesday.
