Debra L. Oberlander, 54, St. Anthony, Minn., died of ovarian cancer on July 4, 2007.
A memorial service was previously held on July 9 at Nativity Lutheran Church, St. Anthony.
She was born in Dickinson on June 13, 1953.
Deb worked for the FBI from 1974 until 1981. She worked for the law firm of Moss, Flaherty, Clarkson & Fletcher (now Moss & Barnett) until 1987, when she moved to Grand Forks to attend law school, graduating from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1990.
She worked in various capacities at law firms in the Twin Cities and for the past eight years served as executive director of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, a job she truly loved.

She had an outstanding life and was grateful for every moment of it. Her legacy will live on in her daughter Emily.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Emily; her mother, Mary Oberlander; her sisters, Frances Oberlander and Nancy Mellmer; her brothers, Bill and Tim Oberlander; and her cousin, Patricia Kipp.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Oberlander.
