In an effort to offer a progressive alternative to those looking to buy and sell property in the area, Tracey Hoff recently opened The Real Estate Co. in Dickinson.
He and eight other Realtors say they are "20 steps above the rest" since there are literally 20 steps to climb to get to their office on Sims.
Real estate agents Amber Kuntz, Susie Lefor, Bob Karn, Dick Theurer, Darcy Kovash, Josh Dohrmann, Chad Glasser and Dave Bauer joined Hoff, who is the owner and broker at the company. Hoff's wife Jackie is the office manager.
"Our slogan is 'real estate made simple,'" Hoff said. "We want to provide a service to our clients that would actually in theory make the process easier."
Realtors at the office "go above and beyond what the norm would be," he added.

"The Real Estate Co. represented a new opportunity and it's definitely a good match for me," Lefor said.
They take advantage of several marketing avenues for their clients, Kuntz said.
"Our office is working to embrace the convenience and accessibility of technology without losing our personal touch," Kuntz said.
They have a show on Consolidated Channel 18 on Sundays, she added. The company also offers new listings, sneak peeks, tips and market trends on their Facebook page, Kuntz said.
"It goes back to also being really active in the market as far as knowledge -- knowing what is really going on in the marketplace," Hoff said. "You just have to be really proactive with what is going on in your community."
All avenues, including properties for sale by owners, must be reviewed, he added.
"It's a great new opportunity and I think as agents, all of us were excited to be a part of this," Kuntz said.
The business gives the realtors a fresh start in real estate.

"It's been about 19 years since I started selling real estate and it's easy to get into a rut," Theurer said. "When you've been in the business a long time, sometimes it's easy to lose focus on what's important and sometimes the family can get left behind and your priorities can sometimes get a little muddied."
Realtors' offices at The Real Estate Co. also offer clients privacy that can be hard to find, Kovash said.
"I think privacy is just incredibly important with real estate and we get that here," she added.
The company operates as a team.
"We feel like family," Kuntz said.
The Real Estate Co. is at 235 Sims. It's open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but Realtors are available seven days a week.
