Dickinson Police officers arrested 28-year-old Luis Rivera-Lopez of Dickinson for allegedly stabbing his roommate during an argument at the Century Apartments on the 1100 block of 21st Street West early Friday evening.
Officers responded to the apartments after a report of a man being stabbed at about 5:18 p.m. Upon arrival, they found three male subjects in an apartment, one of which was a 25-year-old male who had suffered a laceration to his back.
Officers tended to the victim before turning him over to the Dickinson Ambulance Service. The victim was transported to CHI St. Joseph’s Health.
The victim’s injury was deemed serious, though he is expected to make a full recovery.
Rivera-Lopez was charged with aggravated assault, a felony. He was taken to the Southwest Multi-County Correction Center in Dickinson.

Sgt. Dave Wallace of the Dickinson Police Department said Rivera-Lopez reportedly got into a heated argument with the roommate before things escalated.
