Art Ridl, of Dickinson, has been elected to his fourth three-year term on the North Dakota Oilseed Council Board, which recently held elections for their district and country representatives.
Ridl, who is also the National Sunflower Association President, has farmed in the area since 1980 and is a producer of sunflower, spring wheat, durum, barley, oats, corn, and hay. Ridl previously served as a board member of the Farmers Union.
Others elected as sunflower country representatives include: Scott Lazorenko, Dunn County; Dean Knell, Mercer County; Bill Kessel, Billings County; Miles Hanson Slope County; Myles Richard, Bowman County; Steve Wegner, Adams County; Lonnie Henke, Oliver County; Josh Greff, Hettinger County; and Glenn Seidler, Grant County.
As a National Sunflower Association Board member, Ridl is involved in providing direction and setting policies for numerous NSA programs in market development, promotion and research.
The NSA conducts programs in over 20 countries around the world for both confection sunflower and sunflower oil.
