LONDON (AP) -- The spokesman for a 13-year-old who reportedly fathered a child says a DNA test will be performed to identify the dad for certain.
The test comes after a Sunday tabloid newspaper reported that other teenage boys had come forward claiming to be the father of the newborn baby girl.
Family spokesman Max Clifford said Monday the boy still believes the week-old baby girl is his. But his parents want a DNA test as soon as possible to be certain.
The teenager's 15-year-old girlfriend gave birth to the baby girl last week in Eastbourne, 70 miles (110 kilometers) southeast of London. The couple made headlines in Britain when the fresh-faced boy posed on the front page of the Sun newspaper with the baby.
