SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- The state penitentiary in Sioux Falls reported a small fire Monday in a shop where inmates make signs.
The Department of Corrections said one inmate was treated for minor burns to fingers on one hand.
The cause of the fire was uncertain, but is believed to be electrical in nature.
The sign shop produces highway and road signs for the Transportation Department and other government entities, as well as decals for vehicles, mobile homes, boats and snowmobiles.
