Dorothea Mae Moe, 85, Wibaux, Mont., formerly of Beach, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at the Wibaux County Nursing Home.
The funeral services are at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sentinel Butte, with the Rev. Paul Peterson officiating.
Interment follows in the Sentinel Butte Cemetery.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, and from 6-8 p.m. at the chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home, Beach.

Dorothea was born on May 27, 1921, in Beach, the daughter of Paul and Julia (Carlson) Wischow. She was educated in Sentinel Butte Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1939.
After high school, Dorothea moved to Oregon and worked in the shipyards for a short time. She then moved to Mandan, where she managed a donut shop.
Dorothea married Orville Moe on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1945, at Camp Gordon in Augusta, Ga., while Orville was in the United States Army.
They moved to Sentinel Butte, where they farmed with Dorothea's parents until starting their own farming operation. Dorothea and Orville raised their family on the farm and moved to Beach on May 1, 1975, where they lived until moving to the Golden Valley Manor on Nov. 1, 2004.
Dorothea entered the Wibaux County Nursing Home in May 2006.
Dorothea was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sentinel Butte, and the Beach VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed crafts, especially sewing, hardanger and quilting for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to square dance. She loved being with her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an expert at making lefse.
Dorothea was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Donald Wischow and Howard Wischow.

Dorothea is survived by her husband, Orville, Beach; daughter, Dianne Henrikson and her husband Jerry, Farview, Ore.; daughter, Darlene Lardy, Sentinel Butte; son, Kenneth Moe, Beach; brother, Russell Wischow; seven grandchildren, Shahin Chester, Eric Lardy, Ivan Lardy, Andy Moe, Kendra Clark, Chris Moe and Megan Holkup; and three great-grandchildren, Tristin Chester, Harley Lardy and Katelyn Lardy.
