Anthony Soliz Herrera Jr., 35, appeared Thursday in Walsh County District Court and was charged for gross sexual imposition, a Class A felony.

Sometime between March 10 and 12 of this year, Herrera performed sexual acts on a woman while she was unconscious on a bed, according to court documents. Police said this was witnessed by a 12-year-old.

He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and $20,000 fine. If convicted, Herrera will be required to register as a sex offender.
