Driver clocked at 132 mph issued $285 speeding ticket

WEST FARGO, N.D. - A 29-year-old driver from San Diego was arrested Monday morning after troopers say he was clocked driving 132 mph on Interstate 94.

WEST FARGO, N.D. -  A 29-year-old driver from San Diego was arrested Monday morning after troopers say he was clocked driving 132 mph on Interstate 94.

At 9:06 a.m. Monday, the North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to a report of a driver heading east on I-94, speeding and cutting off other vehicles near the Mapleton exit, Capt. Bryan Niewind said in a news release.

Four minutes later, a trooper clocked the driver of the 2003 Mercedes Benz E320 going 132 mph in a 75 mph zone just west of West Fargo, Niewind said in the release.

The driver of the Mercedes was pulled over near the Sheyenne Street exit in West Fargo.

Troopers arrested Shwan Othman Mohammed for misdemeanor reckless driving and issued him a $285 speeding ticket, Niewind said.
