"Jamestown played us real tough," Dickinson State coach Dave Moody said. "We made life a little difficult on ourselves."

Dickinson State had a big lead and a big momentum early in the first match, but Jamestown kept chipping away, allowing the Blue Hawks a narrow escape in Game 1. The Jimmies then won Game 2.

"We just weren't passing the ball very well," Moody said. "It was just difficult to side out. We weren't getting a lot of middle play."

Elizabeth Rodriguez had 17 kills and five blocks. Elizabeth Castillo, returning from an injury, had 14 kills and 10 digs for the Blue Hawks.
