The Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program at Dickinson State University is holding a silent auction during the tailgate and first half of the Blue Hawk football game against Presentation College on Saturday at the Biesiot Activities Center.
The TRHLP students hand-crafted a variety of items for the auction, including a framed dog bed, DSU lawn signs and table decorations. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Dickinson Backpack Program, an organization that provides bags of food to local school children in need.
"The TR scholars who made the items are very proud they can lend a hand in helping the Dickinson Backpack Program feed children in the community," said Dillon Jensen, student assistant director for the TRHLP.
The TRHLP will hold another silent auction during the tailgate and football game against Dakota State University on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the BAC.
