Dickinson State had a school-record six players hit home runs in the first game of its doubleheader - and three more in the second game - against Black Hills State at Gress Complex on Sunday.
Danielle Abrahamson went batted in six runs - most on her grand slam in the second inning - and was 3-for-3 as the Blue Hawks sealed a 19-1 Dakota Athletic Conference victory.
"I've never been a part of a game like that or a doubleheader," DSU coach Guy Fridley said. "It was a thing of beauty."
The Blue Hawks got out to a 10-0 first-inning lead thanks to timely hitting. However, they didn't have a homer in the inning.
Tiffany Saatzer, Leah Glasgow, Jenna Eger, Dana Dunsmore and Ashley Neufeld each hit solo home runs later in the game.

Glasgow went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and a run. Dunsmore went 3-for-3, scored three runs and batted in two runs. Saatzer went 3-for-3, was walked once, scored four runs and had two RBIs. Neufeld and Courtney Blanleil each went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
"We had the sticks going right away," Fridley said. "That's the first time we really jumped on a team like that."
DSU kept the bats cracking in the second game, getting homers from Blanleil, Neufeld and Kristen Fleury en route to a 14-1 victory. The Blue Hawks cruised thanks to another 10-run inning - this time in the third.
"It was fun to watch, I'll tell ya that," Fridley said.
The Blue Hawks visit Minot State on Wednesday in a game that could determine the site of the Region III tournament, which is awarded to the DAC regular-season champion.
DSU and Minot State are at the top of the DAC with less than a week of conference games remaining.
"If we can go and get two, we're controlling our own destiny a little bit," Fridley said.
