JAMESTOWN -- Dickinson State senior women's golfer Megan Fisher won her second consecutive tournament on Monday, capping a strong weekend with a 78 to win the Jimmie Open.
"That was a great score on her part," Dickinson State coach Tim Daniel said. "She had a really good weekend of putting."
Fisher had two birdies at the Jamestown Country Club to keep her score in the 70s and help the Blue Hawk women secure a big win.
When the two-day tournament was said and done, DSU had four of its golfers finish in the top 10 and defeated Black Hills State by 45 strokes.
Fisher's 76-78-154 combined with Kelsey Boedecker's 174 - the freshman shot 87s on both Sunday and Monday - and Lyndsey Kent's 88-96-184 to propel the Blue Hawks.

While the DSU women's team captured its second consecutive victory - the Blue Hawks won their own tournament last weekend - its men's team was not as lucky.
Terry Poulsen's 72 was not enough for the Blue Hawks to come back and defeat Minot State on the men's side. Poulsen finished third after shooting a 79 on Sunday. He finished fives strokes out of first with a 151.
"Terry struggled the first day, had some wayward drives," Daniel said. "But (Monday), he hit the ball pretty well and gave himself a chance to score a lot better."
The Beavers finished with a two-day score of 604, shooting 12 strokes better on Monday then they did Sunday. DSU also improved its score, but by just three strokes to finish 311-308-619.
"More than anything, we just didn't do a very good job of playing to the course," Daniel said.
The Minot State duo of Justin Aberle and Jordan Kelly finished first and second, respectively. Aberle had two steady days, finishing 74-72-146 and Kelly picked up his game on Monday to finish 78-70-148.
Jake Fladeland finished two shots behind Poulsen with a 77-76-153.
DSU won the Blue Hawk Invitational last weekend, putting them even with Minot State in the Dakota Athletic Conference point standings.

"We're disappointed we didn't play well enough to win it, but we're even up with them," Daniel said.
DSU will be the underdog once again next weekend at the Minot State Invitational, which will be played at both Souris Valley Golf Course and Minot Country Club. It is also the final meet of the fall season.
"We've got a tough task ahead of us playing on their home course," Daniel said. "It's going to be a tough battle."
