Kent Anderson has left his position as business manager for Dickinson Public Schools, a position he has held since August 2017.
He'll be staying in Dickinson, though, as he has been named the chief financial officer for Dickinson State University, effective Friday, Oct. 16.
“We are very excited to welcome Kent as DSU’s chief financial officer,” said DSU President Steve Easton. “He has a wide variety of experience including education administration that will make him a significant asset.”
Anderson has more than 24 years of experience in accounting, finance and management in both the public and private sectors.
Prior to his position at DPS, Anderson worked in the corporate world as a staff accountant, a controller, a chief financial officer and business manager. He has worked for Sax Motor Company in Dickinson, Ross Eriksmoen, Inc. in Crosby, Red Trail Energy, LLC in Richardton and the Theodore Roosevelt Foundation in Medora.
Anderson is from Crosby, ND and earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of North Dakota and is currently enrolled there in a Master's of Business Administration program.
He is a member of the North Dakota Society of CPA's, the North Dakota Association of School Business Managers and Association of School Business Officials.
