Farm Credit Services of Mandan provided $30,000 for the new Killdeer Area Ambulance station and garage, Farm Credit announced Wednesday.
The check was in the form of a rural community grant.
Farm Credit, AgriBank and Farm Credit Services of North Dakota awarded more than $700,000 in Rural Community Grants last year to “support a variety of infrastructure and development projects that benefit communities in western North Dakota, including affordable housing, medical and fire emergency services, medical facilities and services, and education,” according to a press release.
“We feel very fortunate to be able to provide these grant dollars to invaluable services like this,” said Mike O’Keeffe, CEO of Farm Credit. “The needs of these oil impacted communities are being pushed to their limits and this is our way of giving back.”
