MAPLETON, N.D. -- A 38-year-old man was arrested for DUI after the ATV he was driving, with his son on the back, rolled more than eight times near Mapleton on Sunday night.

Adam Pogreba was driving the ATV with his 9-year-old son northeast of Mapleton just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, when the vehicle rolled eight to 10 times, the Cass County Sheriff's Department said.

Deputies noticed an odor of alcohol on Pogreba and performed field sobriety tests.

Both Pogreba and his son were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the department said. Neither were wearing a helmet.

Pogreba was arrested for driving under the influence while accompanied by a minor and DUI refusal, the department said.
