RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- The Cabela's store in Rapid City was evacuated after a passer-by spotted flames shooting from the roof.
Fire officials say the blaze started around an air handling unit late Tuesday afternoon and was contained to the roof above the building's sprinkler system, so it was not triggered.
Assistant Fire Chief Tim Kobes says the cause is still being investigated.
Kobes says the roof of the store had significant damage. No one was hurt.
