FARGO - A Fargo fire truck and an SUV were damaged after a crash Wednesday night.

It happened about 7:47 p.m. in south Fargo.

Fargo Police officials say the fire truck was turning out of the West Acres substation at the time of the crash. The fire truck was on 40th Street South getting ready to turn on 9th Avenue.

An SUV was on 9th Avenue and getting ready to turn left onto 40th Street.

As the firefighter was turning the truck he thought he saw someone waving him down, so he looked over to see if they needed help. At that time, the fire truck turned too wide and struck the front of the SUV.
