Members of the Dickinson Fire Department will “fill the boot” from 5:30-8 p.m. today in three Dickinson locations - the First on First street festival, Prairie Hills Mall and Walmart.

The firefighters’ “Fill the Boot” campaign raises funds to help kids and adults affected by muscular dystrophy, ALS and related disorders.

The funds will help families with resources, support groups and the MDA Care Center at Sanford at Fargo. The funds also give North Dakota kids an opportunity to experience MDA summer camp at Maple Lake, Minn., at no cost to their families.
