Dickinson firefighters were called to St. Luke's Home at about 10:45 a.m. Monday for a fire call.
A fire alarm was pulled after someone noticed a "hot smell," Dickinson Fire Department Chief Bob Sivak said.
The 10th Street West building was not evacuated and the department was unable to find anything wrong, he said.
St. Luke's staff followed procedure according to their emergency plan, he said.
