PHOENIX (AP) -- A former Chandler plastic surgeon indicted on charges of running a prescription-drug ring has been extradited from North Dakota and booked into a Maricopa County jail.

County sheriff's deputies took Dr. James Lawrence Robrock into custody Sunday night at Sky Harbor International Airport.

The Arizona Republic reports the 55-year-old Robrock had been living with his sister for the past three years in Fargo, N.D.

Authorities say Robrock and the three other people were involved in a ring that forged prescriptions and obtained fraudulent prescriptions for such drugs as oxycodone, oxycontin and other controlled substances.

The ring allegedly used false prescriber information and several aliases to forge and acquire hundreds of prescriptions throughout Arizona.

It was unclear Monday whether Robrock has legal representation yet.
