Forum Communications today appointed Bob Carruth, a long-time media executive, to be the new Publisher/Ad Director of The Dickinson Press in Dickinson, ND, effective immediately. He succeeds Harvey Brock who will be leaving the company mid-April 2019.
After announcing the succession, Aaron Becher, Vice President Newspaper Operations for Forum Communications Company said of Carruth:
"Bob's extensive experience in the publishing industry will allow him to make a positive impact at The Dickinson Press. He is committed to serving our employees and customers."
Carruth was named publisher of The Dickinson Press after serving as advertising director since May of 2014. Prior to joining Forum Communications, Bob was also the Associate Publisher/General Manager of the East Oregonian in Pendleton, Oregon and Advertising Director for an agricultural newspaper in Salem, OR. He has also worked with multiple newspapers in Idaho, Washington, Iowa, South Dakota, California and Montana.
Carruth is looking forward to this new role.

Harvey Brock who will be leaving after 11 years at the Dickinson Press is pleased Carruth will be the next publisher. "I have known Bob for almost 30 years and know he will do a wonderful job," he said. "I want to wish Bob and the employees all the best as they start this new chapter in the rich history of the Dickinson Press."
Bob and his wife Gloria have three grown children and four grandchildren.
