The fourth annual "Meet the Hawks" day has been postponed from today until Friday, Sept. 29.
The event, where elementary students get to meet Dickinson State University athletes, was moved due to accommodate for the forecasted bad weather.
The event will still take place from 4-5:30 p.m. at Whitney Stadium. Those attending are asked to use the east gate off of 13th Avenue, not the west doors to the stadium.
Although the day has changed, the event format remained the same. The first 275 children to arrive will receive a free t-shirt and a free ticket to the Blue Hawks' football game against Minot State on Sept. 30. The ticket is valid if the child is accompanied to the game by an adult.
The athletic department will serve free hot dogs and Coca-Cola while the kids get to meet athletes from every Blue Hawks team, including the national champion men's track team.

Kids are also encouraged to bring a marker so athletes can sign their t-shirt. They may also bring pens and autograph pads, or any other item you'd like to have autographed by a Blue Hawks athlete.
