Frances Frank was born Sept. 8, 1909 on the family farm to Raymond and Margaret (Schloss) Frank. She grew up in the Schefield area and attended country school for several years and later St. Pius Parochial School through the eighth grade. She lived on the farm helping her family until 1929, at which time, the family moved to Dickinson. On Oct. 28, 1930, Frances and Frank Dolajak were united in marriage at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson. They moved to a farm eight miles south of Dickinson, where they raised their family and engaged in diversified farming until they retired in 1968 and moved into Dickinson. Frances lived in her home in Dickinson until September 2008, at which time she entered St. Benedict's Nursing Home until her death. Frances enjoyed crafts, sewing, quilting, crocheting, playing cards and gardening. She especially loved music and played several instruments, the organ, guitar, accordion and omnie chord. Sacred music or hymns were her favorite as evident by the many hymn books, tapes and records in her possession.
