GRAND FORKS -- A 13-year-old girl was sent to the hospital Sunday night after being pulled from a swimming pool in south Grand Forks.
Police responded at 7:10 p.m. Sunday to an apartment complex at 3430 24th Ave. S. for a report of an unconscious girl who was not breathing. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the girl had been pulled from the bottom of the pool and CPR was in progress.
The girl began breathing again and was monitored until paramedics arrived at the scene. She eventually was taken to Altru Hospital, though her status is unknown, according to a news release.
The incident is being investigated as an accident, police said in the release. Further details were not immediately available Monday.
