NEW SALEM -- A 21-year-old Glen Ullin man died Thursday afternoon in a crash about seven miles east of New Salem on Interstate 94.
Chandler Schmidt was eastbound in a 1985 Ford Crown Victoria when the vehicle entered the median and sideswiped a westbound 2010 Cadillac DPR sedan driven by Phil Clark, 74, of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
Schmidt’s vehicle crossed the westbound lanes and continued to travel through the ditch and a fence before coming to a rest in a field.
Neither Clark, nor his passenger, 67-year-old Lana Dillard, also of Pigeon Forge, were injured.
