BISMARCK (AP) -- Gov. John Hoeven says he will waive school days that were canceled due to winter storms for schools that used up their regular number of days allowed off.
Hoeven says the recent snowstorms have meant some districts used up the number of days they had set aside for severe weather. He says the state will waive the number of required school days where needed, if a school district cannot make them up.
School districts can apply to the Department of Public Instruction for a waiver from the governor. A form is available online at http://www.dpi.state.nd.us/forms/sfn51826.pdf .
