BISMARCK — For North Dakotans who need financial assistance with phone or internet service, the Lifeline program is available through the North Dakota Public Service Commission. Lifeline lowers the monthly cost of those services for individuals who qualify.
Lifeline is available to qualifying new and current customers with income below a particular threshold, or those who qualify for certain government assistance programs, including: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Medicaid, Supplemental, Security Income, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit and tribal programs.
Lifeline may be used for one service per household for either phone or internet.
