GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- Authorities have identified a body found in a Grand Forks rail yard as a University of North Dakota student from Minneapolis.

The body of 20-year-old Blake Ayling was found Saturday morning in a BNSF Railway yard near campus. Authorities say their preliminary investigation determined that Ayling was going through the yard when he was struck by a train.

The official cause of death won't be determined until after an autopsy is done.

UND President Robert Kelley issued a statement Monday extending condolences to Ayling's family and friends. He said Ayling was a pre-entrepreneurship major who was on both the UND President's Roll of Honor and the UND Dean's List.
