Dickinson State University crowned Jami Harrington and Derek Carley its Homecoming queen and king at the coronation ceremony Friday. They were chosen by student body vote from among the 12 members of the Homecoming Royal Court.
Harrington, of Broadus, Mont., is a nursing major. She is a Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program Scholar and serves as executive committee president. She is president of the Nursing Students Association, a CRU student leader, a mentor in the Best Friends Mentoring Program and Homecoming Coronation chair. She was sponsored by Nursing Students Association. Her parents are Troy and Debbie Harrington.
Derek Carley, of Helena, Mont., is a nursing major. He is a Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program Scholar and has been involved with the Nursing Students Association as well as being a Best Friends mentor for two years. Carley also has been a member of the baseball and track and field teams. He is sponsored by Nursing Students Association. His parents are Greg and Kim Carley.
