Hattie passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson.
Hattie was born Dec. 23, 1935 in Dickinson, the daughter of Adolph and Mary (Hondl) Privratsky. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Dickinson. After school, she worked at St. Joseph's Hospital for a number of years. On April 21, 1954 Hattie married Victor Froehlich at St. Wenceslaus Church. The couple made their home on their farm southwest of Dickinson where they raised two children. Hattie worked for a number of years with Marlin Olson at Mischel Olson Chapel. She later worked in the kitchen at Western Livestock and Schnell's Livestock. In 1979, Hattie became a partner in Stockman's Café which she operated until her retirement in 2003. From Stockman's Café Hattie developed H & R Catering with her daughter Rae Lynn and is still operating today.
Hattie loved playing cards, gardening, and tending to her prized roses. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids and meeting her coffee group to visit. Even though she spent all day at the café, Hattie still enjoyed cooking at home and was never afraid to try a new recipe from a magazine or newspaper.
