SPEARFISH, S.D. -- Dickinson State won seven men's events to seal their fourth consecutive Dakota Athletic Conference indoor track and field championship on Saturday.
"We came through in the events we thought we'd have a strong day in, that's the big thing," DSU coach Pete Stanton said.
The Blue Hawks racked up 238 team points as they dominated the sprints and relays and did just as well in the jumps.
DSU had the top three finishers in the 55-meter dash, along with the 200, 400 and triple jump.
John Ingraham, who was named DAC most valuable men's athlete, won the 200 in 22.12 seconds and was runner-up to teammate Michael Sands in the 55. Sands clocked a 6.39 time to win the race while Ingraham ran a 6.42. Ramon Miller won the 400 in 47.95.

"John's refocused himself," Stanton said. "We knew the talent was always there. He's just starting to come together."
The Blue Hawks won the 400, 1,600 and 3,200 relays.
Dominic Goodman had the top finish in the triple jump at 48 feet, 11 inches. The Blue Hawks had four of the top five places in the event. Goodman was second in the long jump.
On the women's side, Black Hills State came away with the championship. The Yellow Jackets had 286.5 points.
Much to the Blue Hawks' surprise, they were second with 203.
"We'd projected us about 140 to 150 points," Stanton said.
Sophomore Kelsey Aide set a DAC indoor record with a 12-foot leap in the pole vault.
Aide is the returning outdoor national champion in the event and won both the DAC indoor and outdoor as a freshman.

Valdeana Bain won the high jump with a 5-6 leap and Chadee Moss won the triple jump at 35-2½.
"It was just another very outstanding performance by our women's team," Stanton said.
