GLENDIVE, Mont. -- It was a little out of the way, but at least the field was dry.

The Dickinson State and Jamestown College baseball teams split a nonconference doubleheader here Saturday. The game was moved from Jamestown to Glendive so it could be played and not postponed.

Dickinson State's Dan Boudreau hit his first home run of the season, a three-run shot in the top of the ninth inning to break a tie and give the Blue Hawks the 8-5 victory.

"He usually hits the ball up the middle, but pulled the ball straightaway left and put enough on it to hit it out," DSU coach Duane Monlux said.

The second game, however, was a completely different story as the Jimmies drove in seven runs in the first two innings and split the twinbill 11-1.

Adam Hurlbert brought home Ed Warren in the top of the first inning to give the Blue Hawks (19-7) a quick lead, but they wouldn't do more than that.

The Jimmies (12-10), sparked by Chad Hollister's two run homer, scored four runs in the bottom half of the inning.
