Two Hettinger residents died Monday when the vehicle they were in rear-ended a tractor, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
At 11:30 a.m. Monday a van driven by Merle Brattvet, 82, of Hettinger came over a hill on Highway 22 and hit a tractor driven by Clyde Dukart, 61, of Dickinson.
Merle Brattvet and Dorothy Brattvet, 77, died in the crash. Passenger Merilee Brattvet, 45, was injured.
Dukart was not injured.
