A high risk sex offender is working in Dickinson, according to the Dickinson Police Department.
Douglas Eugene Gleich, 56, is incarcerated at the Southwest Multi-County Correction Center in Dickinson. He is out during the day on work release, DPD Detective Kylan Klauzer said.
Gleich is convicted of exploitation of minors, transferring obscene materials to minors, possession of underage pornography along with sending and receiving the pornography electronically.
Klauzer said although he is still serving out his sentence, it's important for the public to be aware that he will be working in the community.
However, any actions taken by persons against sex offenders, including vandalism of property, intimidation, harassment or verbal or written threats of harm against these subjects or their families, landlords or employers, are not acceptable, and will likely result in arrest and prosecution of those persons, according to the state sex offender website.
