Dickinson may be home to four more hotels, if all goes as planned.
Dickinson Planning and Zoning Commission members approved a change that increases the maximum height of a building from 45 feet to 60 feet, during their meeting this morning at City Hall.
The request was made by Fargo-based Roers Development, which announced it will build four four-story hotels on a subdivision north of Interstate 94.
It was also announced during the meeting that an update on what else will go on the 210-acre plat is expected Friday.
There were 12 operating hotels with about 850 rooms in Dickinson in spring last year, when it was announced five others were or would soon be under construction, according to a Press article.

Housing and places to stay have become increasingly difficult to find in oil country, with a flood of people heading to the Patch.
