WEST FARGO - Three teens were injured Saturday morning in an Interstate 94 rollover accident involving two vehicles just west of here, and one driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
A 1997 Ford Explorer and a 2004 Ford Mustang convertible were involved in the accident at 5:36 a.m. that started underneath an overpass. Both vehicles were eastbound.
Fargo men Senjur Berisa, 19, and Anthony Peter Volk Jr., 18, were hospitalized at Essentia Health in Fargo, as was an unnamed 17-year-old juvenile from Fargo, according to Cass County Sheriff’s Office Cpl. Jade Van Den Einde.
All three were traveling in the Explorer driven by Steven John Orvik, 18, of Fargo. Orvik was not injured but was arrested and jailed on suspicion of DUI.
The Mustang’s driver, Amel Elfid Drocic, 19, of Fargo, was not injured.
The Explorer clipped the Mustang near the Exit 342 overpass. Both vehicles drove up onto the angled concrete supports under the bridge. The Explorer then rolled over the Mustang and rolled another three times, ejecting Berisa, who was not wearing a seatbelt, Van Den Einde said.
