Investigation into drug sales nets 21 arrests

WILLMAR, Minn. -- An investigation by a regional drug task force led to 21 arrests Wednesday in west-central Minnesota on felony charges of selling controlled substances.

WILLMAR, Minn. - An investigation by a regional drug task force led to 21 arrests Wednesday in west-central Minnesota on felony charges of selling controlled substances.
The the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force said in a statement Thursday that it expects several more arrests in coming days.
The suspects are accused of involvement in the sale of drugs ranging from marijuana and synthetic cannabinoid to cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription pills.
The arrests conclude a six-month investigation by the CEE-VI Task Force into drug sales in Willmar and surrounding communities.
Assistance was provided by Willmar police, Montevideo police, the Kandiyohi County and Meeker County sheriff’s offices, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
In several cases, evidence was gathered through confidential informants and a series of drug stings coordinated by the task force.
Defendants began appearing in court Thursday.
