Irene E. Miller, 80 of rural Glen Ullin, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 at Medcenter One in Bismarck.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Hebron with the Rev. David Ling, officiating.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Spangelo Funeral Home in Glen Ullin, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and continues one hour prior to the funeral at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the First Baptist Cemetery in Hebron.
Irene was born March 15, 1928 in Hebron, the daughter of August and Emma (Fischer) Heinle.
She was raised on the farm and started her education in a country school. The family moved into Hebron and Irene attended Hebron school. After her educational years, she worked at the Green Lantern Café until 1948 and then for the Hardware Store until her marriage.

Irene married Edwin Miller August 6, 1950 at Hebron. Following marriage they farmed south of Glen Ullin. Along with helping on the farm and raising her family, Irene enjoyed quilting, gardening, baking, cooking, playing cards, collecting bells and she especially enjoyed entertaining family and guests in her home.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband of 58 years, Edwin, of Glen Ullin, three daughters and sons-in-law: Sharon and Allen Muggli, Sun City West, Ariz.; Donna and Charles Aune, Braddock, N.D.; and Sheila and Bruce Schmautz, Glen Ullin, five grand children, Scott Muggli, Mike Muggli, Mark Muggli, Tyler (Melissa) Schmautz and Andrew Schmautz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Emma, one brother Milton, and an infant brother.
