Kat Perkins has made the top 10 on "The Voice."

The Scranton native was the second contestant saved by voters Tuesday after opening the NBC singing talent show with Adam Levine and his team.

The group, which she joined at the start of the season, did a cover of "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel.

The rock singer from Minneapolis sang “Magic Man” by Heart on Monday’s episode, drawing strong reviews from the coaches.

“She was a nanny?” country artist Blake Shelton said after her performance Monday. “What in the world? You are a rock star.”

Levin, Perkins’ coach and the lead singer of rock band Maroon 5, said she has gone after “some of the greatest singing on Earth.”

“All this stuff is impossible. It’s impossible to sing these songs and, honestly, you do it with the same power and charisma and efficiency and soul that all these guys did it with,” Levine said Monday night. “It’s mind blowing.”

Perkins will move on to the next round and is expected to sing Monday during another live performance. The winner of the show is determined by voters.

T.J. Wilkins from Team Usher and Dani Moz from Team Shakira were eliminated Tuesday.

“The Voice” airs at 6 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays.
