After a brief conversation about a lack of options for transportation in the area, everything seemed to begin falling into place for Todd Kubas and his fiancée Stacy Hendrickson.
They opened Rock Star Party Bus May 1.
"We felt there was a need for it in Dickinson," Hendrickson said.
They had discussed the idea for a couple of months, but didn't have a bus.
"I'm a hairdresser and I was doing my client's hair and she said 'my son has a party bus and he's trying to sell it,' and I was like 'we'll take it!'" Hendrickson said. "We had an idea one day and all of a sudden there it was. It was right down the street from us the whole time in a storage locker, just sitting there."

They did some body work, repainted it, put their logo on it and the city's newest party bus was born.
They wanted to provide 'safe fun' for area residents, Hendrickson said.
"We don't drink and we don't want people to drink and drive," Hendrickson said.
The bus is perfect for parties, weddings, or a night out on the town, Kubas said.
The couple make concert and casino runs as well. Up to 18 people can be seated on the bus.
The bus features a TV, stereo system, dance pole and party lights. They plan to add karaoke and new seating soon.
Riders on the bus get two-for-one drink specials at Dickinson bars, Kubas added.
The bus will run long after bars close as well, he said.

"Any hours are really available," Kubas said. "If they want me to just drive around, I'll drive around."
They will also cruise around other cities. He will travel up to 200 away from Dickinson for their riders.
There is no age requirement to ride on the bus, but nobody under the age of 21 is permitted to drink alcohol.
"We've had 18-year-olds on the bus for a 21st birthday, but they stay on the bus while everybody goes barhopping and they're not drinking," Hendrickson said.
Rates vary on what type of events is booked and riders are charged an hourly rate.
