MINOT -- Minot police have released a photo of a man suspected of robbing a convenience store and attempting to rob a motel early Tuesday morning using a knife to threaten employees.
In the first incident, at 12:05 a.m., a clerk at The Vegas Motel on North Broadway called to report a man armed with a knife demanded money. The clerk was able to get into a nearby office and call police. The man, wearing a black coat and with a red scarf covering his face, left the area on foot.
About two hours later, a second call came from Racers convenience store in southeast Minot where a man with the same description, and also brandishing a knife, demanded cash. The clerk gave him the money and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money and property.
There were no injuries in either incident. If anyone recognizes the man, they are asked to call Minot police.
