Yes, I am a naysayer. One of my favorite first words was no.
Coming from a large family, some of us took advantage over the others and they would do what they were expected to do. Usually, I lost out in the end.
I learned not to be a Yuppie. I learned to speak up and out for myself and others.
I have been a taxpayer for many years, but never realized what our tax money goes into until I moved to Dickinson. I always thought when it came to big spending, there was a vote of the people, not just a handful of them.
As citizens, we should have a right to be heard. As a citizen, we have a right to say no or a right to say yes. We have a voice to express our concerns as to what our taxes are spent on.

What is our future to hold in years to come? Right now the economy is bleak. What about the future for our children and their children?
My vote on Ordinance 1351 will be a no. Let your voice be heard on June 10. A no vote and no new taxes.
