A celebration of the life of Lillie E. Wilhelm, 77, LaMoure, is at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at the Halliday City Park.
In case of inclement weather, it will be held in the Halliday Legion Hall.
Lillie died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure.
Lillie "Lil" Transtrom was born April 6, 1930, to Mickey and Kathleen (Lynch) Transtrom at the Lynch homestead, 10 miles north of Halliday.
She attended the Haggard country school through the eighth grade, and graduated from Halliday High School.

She later attended Dickinson State College and taught country school north of Halliday until her marriage to Leslie Wilhelm on July 12, 1948.
Lillie enjoyed gardening, reading, collecting "interesting" items and cookbooks, and playing cards and scrabble.
Lillie resided in Halliday until the past year when she moved to the St. Rose Care Center.
Lillie is survived by her sons Rick Wilhelm, Halliday, Robert (Sallie) Wilhelm, Orafino, Idaho, Jim, Tonopah, Ariz., and Mick Wilhelm, Wolf Creek, Mont.; daughters, Rita (Larry) Burr, Halliday, Roslyn (Bill) Amerman, Forman, and Leslie (Ross) Keltner, Cody, Wyo.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers, Bill Transtrom, White Salmon, Wash., and Bob Transtrom, Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Larry Transtrom; her husband, Les Wilhelm, and companion, Emil Wolf.
