A Flood Risk Public Open House to discuss new flood maps will begin at 5 p.m., August 25, 2022, at City Hall in Dickinson, located at 38 1st St. W.
Stark County residents and stakeholders are invited to attend today's Flood Risk Public Open House. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has released newly revised flood maps for Stark County. These are known as Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs).
Attendees will have the chance to learn more and ask about flood risk. You can also learn about your community's role in the National Flood Insurance Program.
Join FEMA, ND DWR and STARK COUNTY officials for a chance to find your property and learn your current flood risk; get answers to your questions; learn about flood insurance; hear how the newly revised maps may affect your insurance and building requirements; and hear about potential cost savings.
