After nine months, numerous delays and a trial that stretched over the course of three days, a 12-member jury on Friday found Patrick Lohan, 38, guilty of Class A felony robbery.
The incident occurred in the early hours of June 21, 2014, when Lohan entered a residence at a Dickinson trailer park, demanding money and drugs at gunpoint. He proceeded to fire four shots, one of which struck resident Richard Schmidt in the leg.
Jury members heard two additional testimonies as well as closing statements from Stark County State’s attorney Tom Henning and defense attorney Benjamin Pulkrabek before a two-hour deliberation Friday.
Lohan faces up to 20 years imprisonment and a $10,000 fine. A final sentence will be ordered within 90 days.
